Easter

Yep, still do baskets, still do brunch, still do egg hunt...
still remember the reason of celebration at church.

These things matter.

spring break 2017

After we beached it at New Symrna, we decided to take a little road trip to Siesta Keys, Florida. It was about 3 hours to the west, and voted the best beach in the states. We got there and sooo loved it!
We stopped for some yummy food at a beachy cafe.

Walked to check out the pretty beach.

Perfect.

Went to check into our posh hotel...Josh had enough points so we stayed at the Ritz Carlton Sarasota for FREE. Who doesn't like free? Some definite perks from a hubby that travels.

They give you a glass of champagne when you check in! This was our view.

The next day we went to their beachside ocean paradise.

Feelin' all rich and stuff.
We love fakin' it.

The girls will never forget it.

Hammock-ing it...

Nappin'

A wee bit chilly but warmed up the next day.

The views.
Yea, we didn't want to leave.

We went and got some food downtown Sarasota (such a pretty city!) and this Marine statue of the famous pose. So of course we had to pose too under it.

See again sometime, Siesta Keys!

spring break 2017

We were off...apparently I was more excited than Josh..ha!

Got to New Smyrna Beach where Josh's folks had been living in a condo by the water for a couple months. Here is the view from their place.

Had to get seafood the first night.

A bit chilly but didn't deter us from the golf cart on the beach.

and games,

and chillin,

and thinking...ponderin'

and  rides into the cute little town,

Eating and hugging.

It started to warm up.

Boogie boarding...

Lara's daughter was in town and we hit up town.

It was so peaceful.

A well needed time.

Fresh air, the outdoors and ocean are always a good idea.

The girls had a ball with daddy in the ocean riding the waves.

We went to the best breakfast place downtown.

And a burger on the beach.

Then to Wes and Lara's for paddle boarding and to celebrate Warren's 85th birthday.

17th PARTIES

Hannah Elizabeth was born on February 22nd, 2000 at 2:22pm.
So we were discussing what this means:

On 2/22/2022 she will be 22 years old and born at 2:22.
So cool!

Scavenger hunt ended up at our place for dinner. Sweet times with sweet friends.

Love this picture.
The cake really wasn't THAT big, just the angel. Ha!

February 22nd. We always do Olive Garden. Since she was ONE.
This time she wanted to go a bit more grown up Italian,
so we ended up at Maggiano's Italian.

So in love with this beauty.
As a teacher of hers recently wrote on a recommendation letter,
"Doesn't get much better than Hannah."
